I don't really do many renders these days. Especially since I pretty much have to use trueSpace if I want to keep the textures. I wish Blender could load textured cobs... it's so much better for rendering

Yes they are, they pretty much have a new version every two months  

Blender DOES have some kind of cob import, or will have very soon, because if I try to load a cob, it doesn't complain but doesn't show anything either. On lwo it just says "File type not recognised".

Very nice ship Jabu! I actually like the colour scheme on that Orion (and I think that good Orion skins are few and far between personally).

And Maeglamor, thanks for the offer on that - Styxx is doing one for me but If you want something to do then feel free to attempt it. Basically I'd like turrets placed where there are little coloured dots on my second image of the Thunder. But don't feel you have to if you don't want to

That skin was only a quick-fix for the FS2 Story Debate in Spacebattles. As I said there, all I did was colorize the textures in PSP  

I'll improve them for a more final version.

I've been drawing concept art for my own desroyer class.  I have it pretty much down pat, but my Rhino demo only has two more saves left, so I'm very cautious about saving.  (It takes over an hour to download on my 56k modem.  If only I could cut&paste my model in rhino to blender!)  Oh well.  The design itself was similar to the Golgotha but had a more Shivan look to it, a kind of hybrid I suppose.  Though it's only one ship, in reality I would have two of them working in tandem with each other (hence the name GTD Gemini.) making them very deadly.  Of course they still pose a threat if only one is present, but they MUST be together if they're main weapon is to be used in its full power.

It sounds fantastic - it is a pity about Rhino and Blender.   However, I must say that it is amazing to see the standard of mods - new models and skins definitely not the least of which - has been increasing steadily over the months, and nowadays, every new thing to come out is stunning. Kudos.

Why would a wing of Erinyes need fighter cover? They are fighters.

Blender is a free modelling program, used by quite a few people, though it has a steep learning curve (or so I'm told). Various versions of trueSpace trials are available, head to Caligari.com for the latest one, which will last 30 days. There is a place to get TS1 for free - I can't remember the link. Someone around here knows
