Our favorite browser just got a cute banner.
This is not really new, but I just saw it at the DS forums.

edit: parallel foruming is bad for your grammer.

Oh no... not anthro art...

Update: I suddenly realised that anthro artists might get the wrong idea about my comment. Turnsky, I know for a fact you do this kind of thing and want to clarify there's nothing wrong with that. You're a great artist (as are many other anthro artists).

I just don't see why an anime-styled fox-girl is required by FireFox for a mascot. If they have to go down the anime route then use something like the nine-tails demon fox of Naruto. It even looks like it's on fire...

OK since I beat Anon to this one (he he), time to analyze what they (The Capitalist Industrial Econimic Entity) could posibly mean by that banner...

1.) Safer (so she has protection in her purse?)
2.) Faster (Well foxes are pretty quick. I guess maybe if you want a quickie?)
3.) Better (Hmm.. The jury's still out on that one, seeing I've never BEEN with an anthropomorphic GF)
4.) That expression could indicate she's in the throes of self pleasure.

To sum up I give it a thumbs up!

I was thinking something along those lines as well. Sexual innuendo to gain the attention of the male population. Good marketing.
Wash: This landing's gonna get pretty interesting.
Mal: Define "interesting".
Wash: *shrug* "Oh God, oh God, we're all gonna die"?
Mal: This is the captain. We have a little problem with our entry sequence, so we may experience some slight turbulence and then... explode.

I was thinking along similar lines of the sexual inuendo too.
Now they can say that Firefox is sexier than Internet Explorer.

-Come to think of it, it is. IE is so ugly...

I'm not sure a cartoon drawing of a half-fox half-pre-pubescent-girl is the best form of sexual innuendo to use in advertising......

(technically, shouldn't she also be on fire?)

well given that she's not an anthro in the strict sense, that character above has more in common with catgirls than actual anthros.
