Or Guild Wars. $50 to buy, but no monthly fees. Only reason I bought it...

I don't think that the graphics for games can get much better, and personally games really wouldn't be games if the graphics were too realistic.  I don't really want my games having everyone look realistic.

Yeah. I liked it better when games had graphical styles n stuff. Hopefully this whole realism 'fad' will go away once they actually achieve it (well, at least something close to it).

:eek2:  GREAT!

I like the design, but I even more like this news about SNES games. I'm a big fan. But importing some games that never came to europe is damn expensive. This might be the solution. :drevil:

Wonder how much they're actually going to charge for them, and how well they'll adapt them, or if it'll just be better to stick with emulation.

BTW, Xbox Live will have something like this in Live Arcade. Basically your standard free online games.

 :wtf: :sigh:

Can you make a single bloody post without churning out an Xbox advert, please?  It's starting to get on my tits.

FYI, Live Arcade charges $10-20 for downloading versions of old arcade games like Galaga and Dig Dug.

Whereas we're talking the entire back catalogue - at the least - of the worlds best 1st party developer over the history of console gaming.

Of course, I was going to make that point in my post but I couldn't find a way to phrase it at the time. No need to be hostile. All in all, the Revolution sounds like it could be very attractive.

at least N learned from their lack of netplay on the GC and now its gonna be hard for Sony and microsoft to compete agains the free netplay service by Nintendo, specialy when xbox live is such the major profite  boosting asset it is.

Probably not a bad thing if you get free phone calls (Nintendo are making a VOIP program for the Ds to use the free wireless; don't know if it'll cover just DS or all phone numbers, but is strill a pretty cool idea).

I've heard rumours that the Revolution controllers are squeezy, have gyroscopes, and/or have a touch sensitive LED rather than predefined buttons.

You must remember it is just a prototype.  And they said it was empty at the E3 presentation.

It's not really surprising it doesn't work, it's a prototype.

Edit: Yeah, what Swantz said.

Not entirely true. The xboxes were not empty, however, they were running the games on the Alpha dev kits.

I really hope they don't do non-button controls. I don't think I could play games without the feedback from mechanical buttons. :|

By the way, I've heard that Nintendo historically doesn't show much of their stuff at E3 and saves it for the TGS. So don't get too disappointed at them.

nintendo at e3 is usually really really good. take last year as an example. it's entirely possible they're saving a lot of gunpowder for tgs, though. they'd almost have to ;)
