Gtva cause of the morality, government, or its ideals?
Ntf cauze of haterd of Vasudans or Bosch is just a good leader?

Im assuming that most of you dont have a family death due to a vasudan so there shouldent be too many joining NTF for hate of vasudans. Bosch may jsut be a good leader, or he was the only one trying to save humanity by siding with shivans.

GTVA, They have more up-to-date technology at the time of FS2.

The GTVA, frankly, looks to be winning at the start of FS2. They were throwing the NTF out of Deneb, had gotten more and newer ships into service (we never saw an NTF Hecate, and the NTF was mostly equipped with Hercs, Medusas, and Lokis, cannon fodder in the face of Myrmidon or Serapis attack), and had a greater ability to replace losses.

Actually, the NTF are in a damned good position at the beginning of FS2, their forces control multiple systems, and they've managed to swell their ranks with ships from over 4 different Terran Fleets, and let's not forget Petrarch's little "we are looking at a decisive victory by the NTF if nothing can be done" after Rear Admiral Koth launches an attack on Epsilon Pegasi. Had it not been for the Colossus, the GTVA would've been in SERIOUS trouble (i'd have given it two more months of Civil War before the strain of the Shivans and the NTF caused a catastrophic split between inside the GTVA, possibly sparking a second T-V War).

So, since the NTF wouldn't have known that the Colossus would annihilate them after a few months when the rebellion began, i would have definitely defected, no questions asked...

...lest those darn Vasudans nick my Head...

I'd admit, were I a fighter pilot, anything would be better than taking orders from allied command.  Bosch and his cronies may have been homicidial maniacs, but they at least use some semblence of tactics once in a while.  But remember that while Bosch, his inner eschelon, and a couple of select individuals outside (Romig comes to mind) knew of the NTF's true purpose and Bosch's true intentions, at least partially,  no one else in the NTF had any idea.  Mindless cattle, I believe is the term Bosch himself uses to describe his following in one of the monologues.  A better question might be "were Bosch to confront you and ask you to rebel, would you?"
