Been ranting about it for the past month myself.

Woooooooooooooo

:wtf:

*raises hand*

I wasn't that big a fan of the mini-series/pilot, but for some reason the actual show dragged me in and didn't let go. BSG and Rescue Me are the only two shows I make a point of catching every time their on. I can't wait to see where things go, mainly for the president and Adama (sp).

Interested, yes. Excited...not really. A little. I feel more like an addict suffering from withdrawal of new BSG episodes. :p *twitch twitch*

"...The quintessential quality of our age is that of dreams coming true. Just think of it. For centuries we have dreamt of flying; recently we made that come true: we have always hankered for speed; now we have speeds greater than we can stand: we wanted to speak to far parts of the Earth; we can: we wanted to explore the sea bottom; we have: and so  on, and so on: and, too, we wanted the power to smash our enemies utterly; we have it. If we had truly wanted peace, we should have had that as well. But true peace has never been one of the genuine dreams - we have got little further than preaching against war in order to appease our consciences. The truly wishful dreams, the many-minded dreams are now irresistible - they become facts." - 'The Outward Urge' by John Wyndham

"The very essence of tolerance rests on the fact that we have to be intolerant of intolerance. Stretching right back to Kant, through the Frankfurt School and up to today, liberalism means that we can do anything we like as long as we don't hurt others. This means that if we are tolerant of others' intolerance - especially when that intolerance is a call for genocide - then all we are doing is allowing that intolerance to flourish, and allowing the violence that will spring from that intolerance to continue unabated." - Bren Carlill

Too bad I don't have cable or a fast internet connection. :(
"The reason for this is that the original Fortran got so convoluted and extensive (10's of millions of lines of code) that no-one can actually figure out how it works, there's a massive project going on to decode the original Fortran and write a more modern system, but until then, the UK communication network is actually relying heavily on 35 year old Fortran that nobody understands." - Flipside

The new series should be pretty good given the happenings in the first season, i mean, for a Sci-Fi series, it started out pretty strong...

I'm concerned. The last season was sooooooo good. Things must go terribly wrong this season. It's TV law.
Be warned: This site's admins stole 100s of hours of my work. They will do it to you.

The Humans and Cylons joing forces against an even stronger alien foe, led by zombie Adama. The BSG crew must travel back in time to prevent him from being born, but along the way they are trapped in an alternate universe where people walk on their hands and hamburgers eat people. Sounds good to me.

Damnit, I must be the only one not psyched about it, mostly because they don't air it here

NBC has been airing season 1 lately, so check out your TV guide. I think NBC and SCI-FI channell will both be airing season 2.

Friday nights will be couch potatoe night again! We got:

Battlestar Galactica

Far-Gate SG1

Stargate - Andromeda

I could careless about the latter (wasted my time watching their 1st season). I will miss O'Neil, but perhaps Crichton will do well carrying the torch of humorous synicism.

Rumors:
Spoiler:

Battlestar Pegasus is supposed to show up in a two parter later in the season.  Something about it taking over as flagship of the fleet and fun stuff like that.  Different class of Battlestar apparently too...

Shhhhhh Icefire.

You might upset the uber hardcore fans of the original BSG. They are very sensitive you know. They might start crying and whining about all kinds of stuff. Before you know it, they will begin marching down to Ron Moore's house with lit torches demanding a faithfull recreation of original BSG plotlines.
