But skins are good!

I guess I just want to see what I can do with a more capable 3D Engine than Freespaces, both MW4 and IW2 are in my line of fire for some skinning now...

Hey, there are repair bays in that last mission. You just have to back up to them, then shut your mech off (it's important that you back into it. Use your hat to look behind you to see where you're going)

Thanks for the heads up, I haven't bought the game yet (to busy and not enough money) but when I do I'll probably read the forums and stuff to learn all about it before I dive in heads first.

Has anyone noticed that the Mad Cat Mk. II is inferior to the original Mad Cat? Here's my reasoning:
1: Can't carry ER PPCs.
2: Slower than the original Mad Cat.
3: Armor is weak for size.
My Mad Cat X trashes the Mad Cat Mk. II. The ER PPCs and LRM20s rip through the Mk. II's armor, and the Mk. IIs jump jets do nothing to stop the missiles and PPCs from hitting. Not to mention my Mad Cat's armor is as strong as the Mk. IIs, and the Mk. II has limited ammo on the Gauss Rifles and they're using LRM5s. And note, this was an even battle, 4 Mad Cat Xs (3 Veterans and me) vs. 4 Mad Cat Mk. IIs in the Wave mission setup (Central Park) and none of the Mad Cat Xs were destroyed, even though mine took some light damage in the center torso from LRM5s.

Note: The Mad Cat X is a modified chassis created from the Mad Cat in the Mech Lab.
