Roslin doesn't want to interfere with military bussiness. Even if she did want to (implied in this episode), Adama tries to keep her out of it (shown in this episode).

Just watched it and I can say unreservedly that that was The Shit. But I'm confused about the "mid-season finale" bit? Didn't Season 1 have 15 episodes? How soon will they air new episodes?

[color=66ff00]The finale thing is entirely the fault of the ever stupid Sci-fi channel. They posted BSG finale and SG:A finale at the bottom of the screen during the episode.

Some of you may remember that I posted a thread a while back in good humour about why the original series was better than the new one. I'm beginning to think that it should not have been a humourous thread as it's obvious that from a storyline, character and writing point of view and ignoring technical progression that the new BSG is by far a superior show.

As for Admiral Cain's behaviour, what I see is a senior officer at threads end that's too strung out to handle her position and feels the need to be unquestioned lest she be undermined. It also makes sense that she should surround herself with those who will follow her out of fear, reliance or blind loyalty.

The story isn't airtight but it is good IMHO.

I also noticed the change in music style and didn't like it very much at first. But the last scene with Adama and Cain speaking over the comm, the camera rotating around them and the musical score ... just whoa, I actually held my breath.

I'd really like to know what Adama thinks he's going to do with a Raptor and a handful of Vipers. Even if the Pegasus allows them to dock, they can just hold them in the unpressurized portion of the flight deck.

I'd like to know what he thinks he's going to do with the Marine Transport, which can clearly be blown by the turret defenses from the Pegasus.

I mean, we get it that they were able to board civillian transports with the marines because the civillian transports can't do anything to stop the dock, but the Pegasus can just train its turrets onto the MT and blow it up easily.

Meh, who gives a crap, we'll see.
