Very interesting.

In some ways I can see Cain's point of view, but quite a few of the things being done on her ship (killing her XO, raping a Cylon... yes its a Cylon but... ugggh...) are very questionable.

On the bright side though, the humans thanks to that guy are now even with the Cylons and the whole "farm" thing on Caprica (Am I the only one who got the impression that other pilots were raping her too for fun?)

I'm wondering how everything will pan out. Will Boomer die during childbirth leading to Gaius and Six's adoption of the baby?

Also the Pegasus is one nice ship...

it was the eppisode were galactica boomer got killed or the one right before it, gias injected the cheif with a something that was going to kill him and he told boomer that if she didn't tell him how many cylons there were left in the fleet he'd let him die and that burried deep in that thing she called a subconsius was the information she needed, and she said 8, there were 8 cylons left in the fleet.


now I missed the mini-serise and the first season, what exactly is the story between gias and the blond chick in his head? is it posable that she IS a figment of his imagineation and the womon on pegisus is the woman he fell for?

I liked the music throughout the whole episode.

And, I just re-watched the mini-series (picked up BSG Season 1 on DVD the other day, best purchase I've made in a while) and all those scenes in Baltars head are on Caprica. Six and him are lovers, and she is a Cylon agent. Baltar was the head of defense for the Colonial Navy or whatever, and Six 'helped' him develop a state-of-the-art defense system, and thats how the Cylons knew what to do, because she basically made the damned thing. Now, why he sees her. Again, in the mini series, she tells him that she has a chip planted in his brain and she had her consienceness transferred from that body into his head.

However, in Season 2 Doc Cottle does a scan on Baltar and its revealed that there is no chip or other anomalies. (though the Doc now thinks Baltar is a crazy hypochondriac...)

To which her reply is that "she's the angel guiding Baltar to humanity's death" or somesuch nonsense.

I think the reason the Pegasus crew was so lacking in morality is down to the fact they don't have a civilian fleet to protect. Their only function is to destroy Cylons - presumably for revenge against the attacks on the colonies - and so their baser instincts come out more. That lack of higher purpose almost makes them tribal in nature.

On the other hand: amazing ep! SG-1 was bad enough with their cliffhanger and now we get this to get us addicted to Sci-Fi's programmes - it's like crack

Hmm I like Admiral Caine. Though she strikes me as a bit of a psycho. The fact she killed her XO means that she was afraid of how disobeying orders would look like to the rest of the crew, seeing how she manages most of the morale crap with the kill counts, etc, and that just makes her weak.

Meh. Having everything destroyed will do that to some people.

Lets see ... unrealistic characters, horrible guest stars, entirely black and white plot, and don't get me started on the music.  Season 2 has gone for a dive.

I diddnt think it was the best but it certainly wasnt the worst.


They should of made this episode into like 3 episodes. things just kind of moved a little too fast in my opinion. though it was very action packed and entertaining I hope they just diddnt overlook a lot of story elements due to lack of time. Was it just me or did it seem like there were more commercials than usual during this episode?

Why drag it out when it's obvious where it will head? I love BSG for getting to the point instead of hauling it forever like it's some kind of a complex development.

Well it's no surprise I hate where this lead to. Commander (not Admiral) Cain was a god-like tactical genius who had the loyalty of his troops cause he was the best warrior of his age. Instead we now have a total hatchet job turning HER into a totally psychotic, power mad biatch, with no morals what so ever. I love how she initially had Adama's same attitude about the President, but then totally ignores her and does her own thing thereby unvalidating the Colonial government (Um, the people SHE supposedly takes orders from?)

  My biggest gripe is that Roslin could have taken a stand right away and asserted herself as CIC. First instance of Cain getting out of line would have been a repeat of the earlier revolt. This time the civillian fleet AND the galactica would be against the "renegades" of the Pegasus.

A better begining would be like this:

Cain "Welcome back to the Colonial Fleet"

Roslin "Actually Admiral, that's MY line."


  As for the new Cylon ship... I bet Baltar IS a Cylon, that is his command ship. Baltar is the Imperious Leader... Just my guess.

  In the Original, a demonic entity (Count Iblis, Satanish, The Devil) was the Imnperious Leader for 1000 years and tricked Baltar into serving the Cylons.)   I would be VERY interested in WHO the new Cylon God (or what)  turns out to be...

  I would like to see the return of the Ship of light and the "angels".
