There is no official FRED 3.6 yet.

The latest FRED build can be found in my third post on this page. It is still said to be pretty buggy, though.

I just cannot use the CVS FRED2 build... it just sucks, and its so buggy... I'll wait for 3.6 to come out.

Goober, can you post a link to my third or first Fred 'n FS build? (Third should have the least amount of bugs)

Edit: In the first post, I mean. With big bold letters saying ENGINE FAILURE FIX, I've seen a gazillion posts mentioning it after I fixed it.

Just a comment here lads, I love this build. Okay, it needs a few fixes here and there with performance issues, but otherwise I think it's a huge milestone for the project.

The even better part is that all the mods I have tried have worked with it.

One question, who's working on fred?

I'm having a little trouble with 3.6

I can't jump out of missions.  Every time I try to engage the jump out it tells me 'engine failer, unable to engage subspace drive'.

I've also tried SEXPing a fix drive and allow drive event into the missions to see if this would fix the problem but it hasn't.  Am I missing something here or is there a cock up in 3.6?

It's a common bug which only appears when you play on very easy. Either be a man and play on a less girly level or download a newer build from the newer build forum.

well i dont what to say anymore, when installed the latest verion of FS open everything went smooth and then i started the FS through the launcher, but my screen is all white, i can hear the music and that is running but i can't see the main hall

I've not played my FS2 in a couple years now, not even had it installed for at least 9 months. Is the 3.6 ScP (and of course the offical patch) all I need to download to get going with all the new stuff?

Oh and..... with a 900 speed processor and 500 some odd meg Ram,.. how much of the ScP can I even use?
