Not sure I am still welcome in this thread. All I want to say is that I wasn't expecting the Czechs to win against Denmark so easily.

It wasn't exactly 'easy'. The entire first half was for the Danish team. Much of the second half as well. That was untill one counter from Czechs put an end to it. :p Once the Czechs smelled blood they went for it. It was over in 15 minutes.

If the Danish had a little bit more finishing capability in this match they could've been up front by 2/3-0 in the first half.

Dutch results:

'76 - Third
'88 - European Champion
'92 - Third
'00 - Third

So, Holland lost 3 semi-finals as well :p But we won one and became champion :D

As much, as I've previously stated my anti-hollandness, I must agree with ms. T.

GO HOLLAND, the only decent team left.

Heh, my summarization of the other teams:

Portugal: A team full of arrogant bastards. Just look at Figo. The prime example. He's offended like hell because his trainer substituted him while he was playing an awefull game. After he was substitued everything went smoother.

Greeks: Well, what can I say. Small team, great accomplishment. However, will probably not succeed against the Czechs.

Czechs: Pretty awesome team. Haven't lost a single game. But they play a wussy style. Hang back with the entire team on your own half and counter when possible. I hate those pussy tactics. Also, their star Nedved is a whiny *****.

I do hope however, that Holland and the Czechs reach the final so that we can shut them up once and for all :p

I predict a Portugal - Czech Republic final. And in the final, the Czechs will win. I like all four teams, I really don't take care who reaches the Zenith.

Gotta admit though, hiring Scholari as their coach was a prime move. As much as I respect Sven Göran Erikson, he lacked the balls to remove Beckham from the game, when he saw things weren't going well for him. Scholari removed Figo, twice, despite his 'star' status.

Beckham is useful at free kicks, that's why Erikson left him in the team.

Yup, that guy deserves respect. Figo on the other hand deserves none whatsoever.

And look where that got him. Granted, there was that problem with the 11 metre mark, the loose grass, or whatever, but still, he managed to miss 3 penalties in a row in his games for England. How pathetic is that.

:nervous:

Tiara, not all players are arrogant, you are generalising... if that was the case, I could clearly say the same thing for every team in the world.
