Science alone of all the subjects contains within itself the lesson of the danger of belief in the infallibility of the greatest teachers in the preceding generation . . .Learn from science that you must doubt the experts. As a matter of fact, I can also define science another way: Science is the belief in the ignorance of experts. - Richard Feynman

 Brilliant!!
Wash: This landing's gonna get pretty interesting.
Mal: Define "interesting".
Wash: *shrug* "Oh God, oh God, we're all gonna die"?
Mal: This is the captain. We have a little problem with our entry sequence, so we may experience some slight turbulence and then... explode.

That's Celsius, Goob. Room temperature's between 20 and 22.

That said, do they have actual practical ones, or are these just for show? They could be very nice to go with thermal gloves and things for really cold weather.

According to the artical, they're functional prototypes. Though they seem to need to be heated first.

When were they ever not practical?!?

Lets see:
Stress reliever
Eye-candy
Hand warmer

If you're a woman they're doubly useful:
Allows you to entirely get your own way
You can get money simply for taking them out
Feeds the kids

A myriad of uses for all! Boobs are great.

Hmm, allow me to explain how this started in my head:

I searched google "define" hoping to find some idiot definition of "boobs" to mock the Google dictionary search with. The joke, however was on me. The wikipedia article on breasts is actually called "/Boobs".

Whatever floats your boat... :nervous:

:p j/k

....Anyway, back On Topic, I've had a bean-bag type thing for years that you heat up in the microwave, got it in a fishing shop iirc, they are a pretty old idea ;)

Edit : Please note, this was a hand-warmer, not a bra ;)

So, do you want a pair? :nervous:
"The reason for this is that the original Fortran got so convoluted and extensive (10's of millions of lines of code) that no-one can actually figure out how it works, there's a massive project going on to decode the original Fortran and write a more modern system, but until then, the UK communication network is actually relying heavily on 35 year old Fortran that nobody understands." - Flipside

Of course.

In other news, crossdressing in cold climates around the world has doubled.

I'd think a vest version of this would be far more effective for both women and men, quite honestly.

Re: Hey, those things can be practical after all!
Yeah, all jokes aside, I'm agreeing with Grey Wolf. Specifically, there are certain diseases where the blood vessels in the skin contract, and if the body (especially the extremeties) aren't kept warm, severe frostbite and even gangrene can set in.
My mother has scleroderma, and she has to bundle up really tightly when it's cold. Something like this would help keep her body temperature warm, like a portable electric blanket. The medical uses far outweigh the entertainment value.

But hey, all new technological innovations come from the porn industry, right? :doubt:

Re: Hey, those things can be practical after all!
There'd still be a risk of frostbite even with a vest version, though you'd be less likely to die from severe frostbite.
