I was refering to major turrets,with cockpit and multiple banks,not th eones on the Nephilim,Ursa,Medusa etc.(those are authomatized!)
Why not SB?
I'm not an experieced modder,but I had a great idea for a super fighter model...
Greater than normal fighter,much meneuverable(not at the levels of stealth ones,however),payload high even compared to an heavy bomber.
The superfighter,called GTSF Ancalagon(=the most powerful black dragon in The Silmarillion,a J.R.R.T. book)has several engines put not only in the back.Those are needed to give the superfighter an high meneuverability.

You won't see this shipmodel until I get experienced with TrueSpace,but I've already created simple models and my abilty is improving(I don't know how to texture them,d'oh!).

The closest thing to a super fighter we have is the Keres.

I was disappointed, I admit, with the Gorgon fighter. The Tech database made out like it was some super-fighter, but it was pathetically easy to down. (I thought the revamped Scorpions were MUCH tougher).
I hope the Keres is more deserving of the title.

You wouldn't say that if your in a Mihos with subachs, or using the avenger in INF Alliance.

The Harpy is the king of the Shivan fighters. It can instant kill you in some situations.

Now wait one f'ing minute! How can the Gorgon be in INF Alliance? I thought that took place in Sol, before the formation of the EA? If my Inferno history is correct, that means the jump corridor is still closed-off.

I like the sound of the Harpy though. I don't suppose you're going to post a screeny?

The Harpy!!!! I loved that model but IMHO, those textures looked like something from MV_Cell.  Do you still use those maps? And the Gorgon was easier to kill than a Dragon, if you ask me.  :doubt:

And the Gorgon is probably part of the NC fleet. Here's a screenshot of the Harpy (no textures)

Non-Campaign. The Non-Campaign ships include the Vasudan and Shivan ships.

And, out of curiosity

in this shot, is that beam near the Durja the so-called 'Baalor?' And the Vasudan should be saying, "Your skills speak for themselves, Terran." Sorry, that's just me.

The explosion near the Durja is from the Tor that I fired at it.

No, there's no real reason too.

The Harpy isn't the strongest spec wise, it has killer weapons though :D

How do those side missile banks work? Do they still fire at an abnormal angle? That always confused me.

And what is the Baalor? Bomberbeam? Plasma? Shivan Spacial Charge? And is the Durja the only ship which uses it?

According to the design notes in the tables it's a 'mass driver'

It's used as a primary weapon on the Durja, and as a turret weapon for the Vindhyachal.

Whoa, whoa, whoa!! I just noticed you're using the Anhur Mark 4? Does it still use those stupid cartoonish textures (many OTT fighters had that annoying look)?

I haven't touched the OTT Vasudan ship textures, or the Harpy ones.
