I've only just got round to re-installing I-War 2, and found this.  Nice to see people still mod the game :)

Strafe is your friend.
Science alone of all the subjects contains within itself the lesson of the danger of belief in the infallibility of the greatest teachers in the preceding generation . . .Learn from science that you must doubt the experts. As a matter of fact, I can also define science another way: Science is the belief in the ignorance of experts. - Richard Feynman

You gotta use the thruster overrides at all times when in combat, otherwise you're a sitting duck. :p
Thanks aldo, perhaps my boredom will be cured for the next few days. Gotta give it a try when I'm back at home from work.

I couldn't quite get over the "slingshotting" that occured most of the time... Having to go in fast to avoid being hit, but flying off into space again once the attack run was complete, then rinsing and repeating.

That, and it takes far too long to get the Adv. Patcom.

Adv. Patcom and Devastator FTW! :D
To consider the Earth as the only populated world in infinite space is as absurd as to assert that in an entire field of millet, only one grain will grow. - Metrodorus of Chios
I wept. Mysterious forces beyond my ken had reached into my beautiful mission and energized its pilots with inhuman bomb-firing abilities. I could only imagine the GTVA warriors giving a mighty KIAAIIIIIII shout as they worked their triggers, their biceps bulging with sinew after years of Ivan Drago-esque steroid therapy and weight training. - General Battuta
