I think it's considered different since it's an NX design.
I was pleased that the only technobabble there was actually relevant (i.e. genetic engineering, transporters, etc.) and it didn't try to "explain it."
The characters seem like they've finally rounded out what they were after in Voyager and DS:9, and it's so far very polished and good.
I just hope that it's not like Voyager, a great begining but quickly turns into regular 'Trek from techno-babble and mostly unrelated plotlines. (Enterprise I've heard has a full story arc, and if so it should work)
My question is if the "temporal cold war" is really 'temporal'... I think it might be a Romulan plot, who else would gain from hurting the Klingons and Vulcans and is that shadowy?
