Then Mickey Maloney ducked his head
When a noggin of whiskey flew at him,
It missed, and falling on the bed
The liquor scattered over [Star Trek]!
The corpse revives! See how he raises!
[Star Trek] rising from the bed,
Says,"Whirl your whiskey around like blazes
Thanum an Dhul! Do you thunk I'm dead?"

Whack fol the darn O, dance to your partner
Whirl the floor, your trotters shake;
Wasn't it the truth I told you
Lots of fun at [Star Trek]'s wake!

I'm taking a "wait and see" approach on this one.  Still, as one of the seemingly few Enterprise fans out there, the prospect of any new Trek is a happy one for me. :)

This project is separate from the previously rumored script developed by Eric Jendresen and overseen by Rick Berman. The former Star Trek producer is not involved in this project.

Y'know what I pondered a few days ago?

Voyager is actually more like TOS than all the other series. Especially with Chakotay, Janeway and Kim banging their way across the quadrant.

The imagery was applicable. Satire knows no limits. And I'm running out of ways to express my ardent desire for Star Trek to be laid to rest.

This better be true.

Otherwise....

What exactly does everyone hate about Nemisis? It's not good, but it's not that bad either.

They left too much of the story on the cutting room floor.

The basic stupidity and lack of respect for the fans.

This sums it up beautifully.

Ooohh, the truth hurts. As a matter of fact, I completely forgot what happened in that movie, except me muttering to my friend "That's what you get for letting a woman drive." after Troi smashed the enterprise into the reman ship.

Thanks for that perfect 5 minute summary.

And Picard has turned down the rank of Admiral multiple times:

What can you expect from a SW site trashing ST, though?

That's all true. however, you can do that with pretty much any movie. just go through every scene and find something that you can say about it that makes it seem bad. A lot of the stuff they said could also be applied to star wars.

Tis true that this guy is a SW fanboi anyway, read his review of the Starwars movies to see, but the ironic thing is that it is one of those rare cases where you'll find Star Trek and Star Wars fans agreeing about what was wrong with that movie. I caught onto the Prime Directive thing the moment it happened, and the rest of it, to me, just seemed like a really dragged out episode from the series. It was ok, but theres bee a general degredation in the quality of these movies, it peaked at Wrath of Khan for me and has been going downhill ever since.

Read through the Star Trek: Insurrection stuff about the Federation government. Ironic stuff coming from a SW fanboy.

Now, now, there have been several good Star Trek movies, namely the Even-Odd curse with 2, 4, 6 & 8 being the good ones, with Nemesis finally breaking the curse... but in the wrong direction...

Is it just me or did we have a thread exactly like this about a month or two ago, where someone posted the Pictorial Summary, and a few posts later someone mentioned he was a total Star Wars Fanboi [he thought Episode 1 was good?!]... time is repeating itself...

Coulda been me, I suppose. I actually enjoy the new Star Wars movies more than the originals. The discussion doesn't ring a bell, though. So probably not.
