So here I am thinking "oh for ****s sake... not more Big Brother", and it got me thinking... am I the odd one out, the angsty one, for hating the society I'm supposed to be a part of?

Or am I the enlightened one who sees this sort of thing for the rubbish it is?

By a odd coincidence, I too had an encounter with Big Brother. About 20 minutes ago I accidentally [and I must stress it was not intentional] to the lastest and poorest Big Brother series, and after about 16 seconds of pure, mindnumbing stupidity, I came to an epiphany. The human race is a stupid, destructive plague upon this planet, spreading like a virus, destroying anything it touches, including itself. This cannot be allowed to continue.

Big Brother has proven to me that the human race does not deserve to exist, and as such I vow to destroy it in its entirety.

yes im glad that so many see the great unnamed error of the human race. it sickens me quite abit. while it may temporarily please me i tend to point my finger at my favorite scapegoat (the christians), that is more for my own psycological stability and really has nothing to do with fixing the problem. the reality is the problem is unfixable. one must maintain sainty of course. you see we have made the art of survival so absurdly complex and inneffieteint that it no longer seems desirable. fact of the matter its more common for people in the world to wipe their ass with their hand and eat bugs, than it is for people to live like we do. political factions tend to serve a short term role. seems noone can think beyond their own life span. religious organizations propogate a message the understanding of which is long forgotten. people seem to hate racists more than they hate child molesters. presidents rave when they create jobs, even though most of those jobs do nothing for society. teens with cellphones polute the rf spectrums with talk getting smached, stoned, ****ed, ect. bums and welfare crazys get better health care than those that hold jobs. the list goes on and on. all the systems of civilization are mere parasites upon one another. feeding off of eachother so that they may propagate, spawning new breeds of parasites. all theese parasites feed off of mankind as well. seems theres no life left in a human. all our equilibriums with nature are gone. i view things like nuclear weapons, hate groups, new plagues, chmical and biological weapons, good old fashoned warefare, car accidents, plane crashes, national socialism, terrorist attacks, ect. as good things that attept to restore some of that equilibriums. note how as our equilibrium goes out the window, such 'good things' things get worse. i view this as nature's way of compensating for our own stupidity. the social hate and angst, is part of the system, so dont feel bad when youre in that particular mood, think of youself as a screw in a hard drive hub in a server in a vast banik of computers, whren your part of the machine comes on, you go for a sipn. here i must remind you all about my non-belief in free will. as a hypothetical statement, if it does exist, it is likely not to exist in everyone. as furter hypothetical speculation, if an individual can posess free will, so can other complex systems, natural or otherwise (this means computers, the entire human race, weather, language, hell even ant farms). you see i am what they call a nihilist. now some would argue that nihilism is a load of bull, that admiting to it defies its existance. that assumption is dependant on the belief in free will by the one that claims to be a nihilist, which i obviously dont have. how do i propose to fix the unnamed error? you may ask. there are 2 aparant paths, the first is total anihilation of all life on the planet, the second is a total and global reconstruction of society. it must be engineered as a machine, for that seems all we really are. i however think im in the blow it all up crowd.

See whenever I start going down this path I get really depressed and I promise myself not to do it again.  Thinking about:

1) Government

2) The future

It all makes me depressed.  So I try and distract myself with work, video games, DVD's, and dreaming about buying a car.  We're all truly ****ed...and its been like that since we decide that living in small tribal towns and making fires was a great idea and we should just all go on doing that.

Christians are as much to blame for the state of the planet as any and every other religious, national, cultural, ethnic, etc group you can name.  So describing Christianity as being the sole scapegoat (to be fair, not what Nuke did) is wrong, but equally so is 'We are probably the only people who give a dam and try to stop it'.

you see as soon as he saw "the christians", his mind stopped caring about my opinion and entered a defensive state, to defend his organization and the part of his personality it has imprinted itself upon. we all have our scapegoats, wether it be the chistians, jews, muslims, conservatives, hippies, blacks, whites, americans, bush, or nihilists, doesnt matter. he can blame my way as much as i can blame his, and it is fair. it is also natural for humans to blame all their problems on one thing and call it done, while in reality the problems are caused by all the systems and their various interactions. i stated, in the same sentance, "...that is more for my own psycological stability and really has nothing to do with fixing the problem.", yet in his defensive mode, read no further and started typing his retaliation. may it be that you learned something from this little excersize. i must also point out that i did not bash your religion, i mearly declared it as my scapegoat.

Kernal, as much as I understand and I totally understand bad moods because I'm a hell of a bad mood right now but try and not take so much offense over that whole thing.  People take their religion far too seriously.  Frankly I'm personally offended all the time by all sorts of things that people say and do and unless its worth shouting about its probably better to just smile and move along.  Thats what I got out of church whenever I went to it (admittedly I belong to a hippie church so take it as you will)...paitence, forgiveness, all of those good warm fuzzy things that actually should mean something.

And I'm totally not advocating the Christian religion being purely the scapegoat for the worlds problems either...but the religion has done its share of screwing things up.

I'd believe you, minus that whole apocalypse bit and the fundamentalist movements. Which means that there is a vested ideological interest in the religion on not having long term planning due to the whole focus on the world being temporary.

Nihilism is just as bad, but it's more direct and honest about it. Functionally though a revealed religion is nihilism due to the combination of "only a select few will be saved, the end is near" and the need to not claim that one is saved because hubris is viewed as a sin that prevents saving.

It's really just a very ****ed up nihilism.

Which further adds to how people are stupid.
