Got Multiple Computers?
If, like me, you have more than one computer running side-by-side, you've probably either played the keyboard+mouse switcheroo till you\re sick of it, or got yourself a KVM switch. Well, I have another option for you... one that (if you have seperate monitors for each computer, and each computer is on the same TCP/IP network) works far better than any KVM switch.

Freakin' awesome. Needs some configuration, but the directions on their website are-step-by-step.

"...The quintessential quality of our age is that of dreams coming true. Just think of it. For centuries we have dreamt of flying; recently we made that come true: we have always hankered for speed; now we have speeds greater than we can stand: we wanted to speak to far parts of the Earth; we can: we wanted to explore the sea bottom; we have: and so  on, and so on: and, too, we wanted the power to smash our enemies utterly; we have it. If we had truly wanted peace, we should have had that as well. But true peace has never been one of the genuine dreams - we have got little further than preaching against war in order to appease our consciences. The truly wishful dreams, the many-minded dreams are now irresistible - they become facts." - 'The Outward Urge' by John Wyndham

"The very essence of tolerance rests on the fact that we have to be intolerant of intolerance. Stretching right back to Kant, through the Frankfurt School and up to today, liberalism means that we can do anything we like as long as we don't hurt others. This means that if we are tolerant of others' intolerance - especially when that intolerance is a call for genocide - then all we are doing is allowing that intolerance to flourish, and allowing the violence that will spring from that intolerance to continue unabated." - Bren Carlill

Re: Got Multiple Computers?
Woops, I only have 2 side-by-side but voted for three cuz I missed the word side-by-side... But I don't think I would need that program as the other computer is mainly used by my family, though, it might make a nice practicak joke..

Two PC's and one laptop, although the laptop I use only for testing different operating systems, usually.

3. Two PCs that are actually useful for contemporary matters and an old 486 for running DOS games. Out of the 3, the 486 has probably had the least amount of unwanted reboots and hardware malfunctions, and only thing that's ever completely given up on it is the floppy drive :p

What? I can't attribute a feminine personification to my computer?

Think of it this way: this damn thing can be temperamental as hell, often gets all locked up over the smallest things, and finds a way to give me errors if I so much as step out of line. I believe a feminine personification is quite fitting, don't you?

Whoa, who has 5+?
"The reason for this is that the original Fortran got so convoluted and extensive (10's of millions of lines of code) that no-one can actually figure out how it works, there's a massive project going on to decode the original Fortran and write a more modern system, but until then, the UK communication network is actually relying heavily on 35 year old Fortran that nobody understands." - Flipside

Re: Got Multiple Computers?
The only computers I have next to each other are the ones I use strictly for old games, the 1990 Mac and the 2001-era DOS/ME machine. A KVM would actually be very useful there, especially as they share a monitor, but I have no idea how to get those on a network and the Mac uses its own keyboard and mouse connectors anyway. :p The other three computers are all in different rooms and don't need to share any peripherals.

I use two Desktops and a KVM switch, I only use one of them as a server though, so it's not really needed to be looked at all that often :) I'll take a nosy at that program anyway :)

I'm in the same situation, except I have my IM client on the server. The problem is that the server is an old-style Celeron 667Mhz - with no L2 cache or whatever L they were stripped of. The point is it's slow as molasses. With this program, every time someone IMs me another annoying Flash link, I can just copy the link on the server and paste it into the browser on my main computer, easy as pie. :)
