Sorry I skipped them.
This started as a PM reply but I figured it would be more constructive as a post even though this is in Hard Light and a RT:SC thread..
Don't understand what you are saying...
If I get you right in short you are basicly saying YOU want a SC's mod and think that would make this mod 'popular'.
Sorry this goes against my feelings about anime continuity for over 27 years. Ironicly while Macross (Japanese) people denounce it, when it comes to Robotech I am a "purist".
No offense, but this mod will be 'popular' for the same reasons the sources were in 1982 (till the present) are, cause people remember. If this means a 'New generation' who is raised and introduced only to RT:SC doesn't join the main fanbase, then that's their loss.
This mod (as most mods are) was not intended to make itself popular or to garner attention for any one person, but to bring a cherished franchise to a new medium (The PC). Since I an expanding the work of the original team, my goal was to enrich that which already has come before and try to flesh it out as much as possible.
This means Only series 1-3, the Sentinels Movie, and the Mckinney books will be used. I have never seen any of the comics (and no desire to) and they already stated on robotech.com the backstory will have some critical changes, so I am ignoring them.
As Mod Coordinator it's my decision ultimately what goes in out out of the mod and I suggest you read the forum on Game-Warden (who is hosting the mod) and read all the nice stickies I thoughtfully left in detail to be as open and informative as possible.
The majority of this desicion comes from a love of the anime itself. It's not that I am not open to change or compromise but this has mostly been a solo act for the last 3 years and the majority of the out-side community contributors feel exactly the same way I do...
(Devs of the HW2 and RT MMO projects).
I hope this clears up any vagueness about the Mod's mission statement.

I hope they do well.
