I know I'm a newbie and all and am probably not supposed to have an opinion on FS background... , but what's to say that the Eisenhower in FS1 was named after "Ike"? There could have been another Eisenhower that came to prominence in Earth's history in the next 300 years.

I think that English names should be limited-there's Aquitaine instead of Aquitania, foe example.

You should try name ships after space pioneers.

One of them is Herman Potočnik "Noordung".

He was a slovenian rocket engineer and pioneer of cosmonautics.
He was the first person in history (that I now of) that said that we can have a perinante space station in space.

the Icenisteroid is a Boadicea-class installation, Boadicea who was queen of the Iceni people in Britain and led a rebellion against Roman rule. Also the NTCv Jacobus. Also the NTCv Danton.

The GTD suckmyballs is a next-gen ship, though. It uses a new naming convention.

The GTA originally used Greek names, but the GTI tried to change that and use Norse names (Odin, Bragi, Huri). The GTVA soon changed back to Greek names, the NTF used the names of the Iceni, but the next-generation of ships will use offensive things like 'suckmyballs,' 'urmomsaslut,' etc.

However, the Vasudans are getting upset with this new naming convention (because they don't get the offensiveness of it), and are still naming their ships after Egyptian deities and stuff.
