I clicked higher than 256, but it always went back down  
Turns out, Lokis DO have a use, especially when using their AB to reach 2km/s. My wing in Mission 2 of the main campaign went down, and never completed that mission.

I once tried to put in 256 asteroids but it seems that the game cannot handle so much stuff, so it only displays some of the laser shots. (I was in a Thoth that was firing only one projectile per shot )

Anyway I will try this mod out in a little bit.

Whoops, thats right. Never noticed it limited me until I checked, 256.

I've never run into the asteroid limit in an ACTUAL mission... it simply isn't practical.   WHen there are too many asteroids combined with too many ships, weapons have an annoying tendancy to stop working. They'll just go through things. So, as much as I like high-density asteroid fields, I've always had to reduce them for practical play.
