Hi everyone...not sure where to post this...

Just wanted to say thanks for your efforts on the site/projects. Definite newbie to all of this - became interested in freespace 2 - and here you were! :>> ;)

Exits are to the sides and rear, non-working water-filled flamethrowers are located under the seats. The lockers up front contain shotguns and plasma rifles in case of a real emergency, but they can only be opened by an Admin, [V]-God, or hyperintelligent shade of the color blue. If you go crawling in the air ducts and encounter Carl the Shivan, he might let you go if you give him you lunch. Don't try to enter the control room as it is guarded by subspatial claymore mines. Don't ask about FS3; it's not happening and we're not going to make it ourselves. Don't ask about Derek Smart. Don't listen to takashi. Read karajorma's FAQ. beam-free-all

Thank you, and enjoy our stay :D

Don't you know you can by pass subspatial mines by using a subspace feild generator and a variable phase inverter.

Whatever happened to just keeping the shotguns under the seats? We never had a problem with it back then.

"...The quintessential quality of our age is that of dreams coming true. Just think of it. For centuries we have dreamt of flying; recently we made that come true: we have always hankered for speed; now we have speeds greater than we can stand: we wanted to speak to far parts of the Earth; we can: we wanted to explore the sea bottom; we have: and so  on, and so on: and, too, we wanted the power to smash our enemies utterly; we have it. If we had truly wanted peace, we should have had that as well. But true peace has never been one of the genuine dreams - we have got little further than preaching against war in order to appease our consciences. The truly wishful dreams, the many-minded dreams are now irresistible - they become facts." - 'The Outward Urge' by John Wyndham

"The very essence of tolerance rests on the fact that we have to be intolerant of intolerance. Stretching right back to Kant, through the Frankfurt School and up to today, liberalism means that we can do anything we like as long as we don't hurt others. This means that if we are tolerant of others' intolerance - especially when that intolerance is a call for genocide - then all we are doing is allowing that intolerance to flourish, and allowing the violence that will spring from that intolerance to continue unabated." - Bren Carlill

Man, I was around for HLP 1.0. dynamic.gamespy.com/hlp or whatever it was, back when we had a Freelancer board and the main page was all ghetto, and glowmaps were the coolest thing EVAR! and all that.

Back when 3dap.com/hlp was the shortest URL to get to us. :) Not that hard-light.net is shorter, but still... :p

Oh, and we were on dynamic4 for the longest time until GS screwed their servers up, and then you could access us from any dynamic# server. :)
