One question: if you guys can crank out top-notch TIEs and X-Wings in a matter of days or weeks, can we get the mod soon?

...But our fusion reactors don't put out enough energy to be worthwhile yet either...

Considering our only fusion reactors are bombs, they create more than enough energy, but it's just not very worthwhile : (

If you think about it, the panels being solar energy collectors is pretty silly. At most you'll only ever get a single side directly facing the sun and the other three sides would be unused. And if you're fighting in deep space, there won't be any stars close enough so the TIE Fighters could run out of power.

Manufactured by Sienar Fleet Systems, TIE fighters' solar panels power a propulsion system that accelerates gases at a high speed along almost any vector, affording the ships tremendous speed and maneuverability.

The hexagonal solar panels supply power to a unique propulsion system. Microparticle accelerators propel Ionized gasses at a substantial fraction of lightspeed. These gasses are then expelled from rear vents to generate thrust. The ion streams can be directed along amost any vector, allowing for the TIE's incredible velocity and maneuverability. Wikipedia references the Star Wars site which is the Expanded Universe TIE Entry. Doesn't EU also say those domes on top are shield generators too?

Also Wookiepedia says radiator panels. Nothing about solar panels.

Brand, I think you should use the ANH version. I always thought the gray version looked better.
