Re: Things you want to know about BWO but were afraid to ask
Mjollnir's were prone to overloads...when?

The second-last mission of Derelict, I think.

Non-Canon, FTL.
This is the BWO board get over it.

Oh yeah, I forgot.

Hey, will the Death Star be in the first release?

Re: Things you want to know about BWO but were afraid to ask
It is canon. The team confirmed that the stories of Warzone and Derelect take place in the same universe as BWO. Read harder unless there is too much to read ;) That means the next time the Shivans arrive, it will be like the 6th incursion. But in the 2001 trailer, it said "It has been 9 years since the 2nd Shivan war" or something. That would contradict Warzone, Derelect, and Twilight. But since then, the team has apparently changed the story and decided to include the other campaigns as canon. That makes it more interesting too.

:wtf:

Warzone and Derelict themselves aren't canon. Are you sure you know what canon is? Or are you thinking of fanon?

Re: Things you want to know about BWO but were afraid to ask
That is what I mean; BWO canon. That means BWO universe. Events that take place in the BWO storyline. I know what canon is. It means it is a part of the story and connected to the story. Meaning the events did happen as part of the official story" (of BWO in this case).

Never heard of fanon. Maybe that has to do with fans since I see a resemblance in that word. Let me guess, the opposite of canon. Or maybe it is not a real term and was a word you made up to mean produced by fans and not by the FS2 team. But it doesn't matter since I meant BWO canon all along.

 :wtf:

...okay...

EDIT: Yeah, sorry. This is my fault. I thought by "canon" you guys meant "canon", not "in the same sub-universe". :D For some reason, I thought High Max was saying that Warzone and Derelict were canon.

Its fanon.
But its 'canon' to THIS campaign's universe, which means, events and statements do play in...

It's all right. This stuff happens when you use "canon" to refer to things that didn't happen in FS1, ST, or FS2 when talking about the Freespace universe. But I get it now. Each sub-universe is its own kind of canon, so you can technically say that everything is canon.  :)

I STILL want to know WTF happened to the MTD Auriga. It's a loose end from Derelict that needs tied up, bigtime.

Re: Things you want to know about BWO but were afraid to ask
I've generally seen the term "fanon" as meaning that the fan community for a particular series, has itself accepted some info on top of ACTUAL canon.  That means that a fair portion of the fan community has accepted this info into its knowledge base for the series, knowing that it doesn't come from the actual source of the series.  Some of the info about the T-V war era in the FS Wiki is an example of this, while other info has been pulled from ship and weapon tech descriptions.

The 'GTD Legion' would be an example of fanon.

Most of the major systems of the Alliance? Does that mean that we will visit beyond-GTVA systems, other than Sol?

Are we going to visit Betelgeuse?

Also, are there any reasonable excuses to bring the player basically everywhere? :D

There are no Shivans in BWO.

What do the Shivans have to do with what I asked?
