For mine the cockpit will be much smaller in size, at 40 meters it's more like flying a 747.

Could I assume that from the inside of the cockpit, it will be transparent, but from the outside it will be opaque? I've always loved that idea.

I dunno. I like it alot, but call me crazy, but I think I like the rounded nacelles of the sketch better than the current square-ish ones. And....shouldn't it fly like a 747?  :p

Hades is possibly going after FS-classifications with his remark (where bombers don't have that heavy turrets, nor are that large) - but seeing that it is based on Wing Commander, "bomber" should still be the correct description (as long as you don't import it into the FS-timeline, that is).
Oh and the Longbow still was a bomber in WC4 - it didn't cease to be at the end of WC3 ;) .

About the model itself - hmm, I'm not quite as enthusiastic with this as with most of your other models, but still it looks well, and the idea seems interesting :) .
From it's looks, it somehow reminds of the bow of a WC1 Venture Slanted onto an enlargened Longbow rear-section... Nothing bad about that, but the whole thing is just a bit too boxy for my perception...

Compared to the drawing, I'd also say there should be an additional intake at the top after about one third of the length - where you have some tubes going around the edge of the broadening cross-section.

Interesting. Yet there is something that bothers me..
I guess its the "wings". They look like they should be attached to a lot more maneuverable ship? Could be a bit shorter, IMO (to make them appear less functional).

Uh, the "wings" are pretty much the right scale if you're oriented on the original Longbow... I'd say you shouldn't measure a WC ship on FS classifications, castor.

And the rounded sketch doesn't really look good to me... it mostly looks like a badly deformed Vampire to me :nervous: .

Yes Mav, I realize that the ship is not from FS universe.
I should have added that I was commenting it solely against my personal aesthetic views, outside of any specific setting.
