VBB: Is it just a nightmare?

Just went to VBB and asked something about something. Five minutes later I see about 8 replies. I'm happy of course but there was not a single reply answering my question, Just flaming. Has anyone ever get a straight answer from VBB. Well I haven't! Me thinks that VBB just suck, it's a total nightmare!!!  :mad:

Its a 'Drunkards Only' forum I think.

All the newbies there get flammed.
It also depends on what type of question it is.

Examples:


Good Threads: How Freespace Changed my Life, Tech Question
Bad Threads: TaS #31!!, Will There be a Freespace3?, Does my butt look big in this?


You get the idea.
I finally destoryed the Shivan armada and all I got was this lousy T shirt.

The VBB is just...different. :)  When you post at HLP the people who respond are usually in a normal state of mind and will respond intelligently.  When you post at the VBB almost all of the responses you get are from either from "stupid 10 year old AOLers" or paronoid vets who think your a "troll"

As a VBB member I must come to its defense. Yes, you've had a bad experience but to be honest I could point a several topics which do not degrade into useless flame-wars. If you looked hard enough on any forum you can find topics which either paragons of politeness or topics that turn to flame wars before the second topic.
