I messaged my ex-gf on Facebook. Then I attempted to defend this course of action on IRC. Then I went to bed and couldn't sleep because the roommate wouldn't stop snoring. Then I didn't wake up, and ordered pizza from Dominos, cuz they have that 2x Tuesday deal on Tuesdays and it's Tuesday, then I went to school and drew boobies in class (it's a Life Drawing class, i.e. Figure Drawing), then I hung out in the student lounge, then I got bored and walked home and went on the Internet.

Now then, I've been reading a bit lately. I want to buy a pair of speakers but I'm not sure exactly what yet. I'd love another pair of Polk SDA CRS+'s... they'd be my first choice based on experience and the fact that they're the smallest of the vintage SDA line. I absolutely refuse to get any bass-reflex speakers (based off of two qualities; two tones of bass and muddied midrange) and acoustic suspension speakers are too expensive and high-power for me (I can't afford a real 250+W amplifier). That leaves me with just passive radiator speakers. All I'd really need is a 2x50W amplifier and I'd be doing quite well. A power amplifier would work as well; I'd need to find a decent preamp though. Current thought is to buy an external DAC/headphone amplifier/stereo preamplifier. I'm leaning closest to the Audio-GD Compass as it has all three features, does them decently, and is still portable enough that I can bring the amp and a laptop to college with me. I won't be moving 30+lb vintage speakers. I'm going to see about borrowing and testing out Polk Monitor 5's. The 5JR+'s are smaller of course, but I doubt they'll have enough bass for some of my genres.
