I've been watching a lot of Garry's Mod videos. But, no, at the time that I was posting, I was trying to open my stupid Adderal bottle with my teeth, because the pharmacy was an ass this time and gave me some really wierd child-proof cap.

I have noticed a significant difference in behavior depending on when I'm on it. When I'm not taking it, I unconsciously tend to vocalize a lot more, IE, random singing, and eat > the average person eats in a lifetime. It does seriously help me, if for no other reason than as a plecebo.

It's kindof weird, knowing I have access to a controlled substance.

Could I ask why you hated it?

ADD meds make me feel like i am having a heart attack all day, and knock my average amount of sleep down to 3-4 hours (with another 2-4 hours of laying bed in the dark doing nothing)

but i lose 5-10lb, and i get **** done

I never liked my behavior when I took it.

I think it was just a matter of taking command of my own mind/maturing to a greater degree. I found I didn't need medications to function properly - I just needed to become more introspective and "step beyond" certain aspects of my character. Life is continually like that.

I might have been diagnosed with ADD (or somethink like it) at some point...

While placebo treatments are effective and mindset is a key element of resolving pathologies, the brain is an organ like any other, and chemical alteration is often a key aspect of rectifying problem behaviors.

Patients should strive for outlooks that help them improve. At the same time, no one should feel that taking medication is somehow a weakness or a 'cheat'. Don't fall into the trap of believing that you can will yourself free of a mental disorder.

Yeah, I was slightly annoyed that he jumped the gun.  Especially since I was talking to Hades right at that moment.
