I managed to record the MIDI from an old MS-DOS game called Overkill. How did I do it? I played through the entire game on DOSBox while it was recording the MIDI music into a single file.

Unfortunately, it's in a mess at the moment. In other words, every single MIDI file embedded into the game, save the menu music, was recorded into a single MIDI file with no sound transitions or anything. In other words, it's just like playing the game with only music enabled. However, I've listened to it on mplayer2, and it's balls-on accurate. Do you still want it?

You should be able to. Access the keymapper (CTRL+F1) and remember the controls for CapMIDI. Mine is set to CTRL+ALT+F8, but yours might be different. You don't need to turn sound off when recording, because music is played and captured on a separate channel from sound.

Yesterday was weird.  It was a decent day until 6 PM.  From about 6 PM to 9:30 PM it was a frakking AWESOME day, and from 9:30 PM to around noon today, I felt like absolute ****.

For those of you wont to jump to such conclusions, I was not partying.  I just had a few too many very sugary drinks and crashed hard.
