Oooh, my CCF section is affiliated with them. Well we used to be fully but the a WO1 from the Coldstream Guards turned up and most people have changed, but ah well.

Oh Christ it is horrific. He sent us on a 2 mile run carrying the heaviest guy he could find on a stretcher, plus some tires and oil drums.
But it is all worth it, when doing combat drills, not getting tired makes you feel pretty badass.

Amusingly enough, the fact that the conversation was laced with abbreviations tells me it's a military conversation. And I actually understand what they're talking about.

Though, I never had the fortune to do BMT. As long as you've had a major operation, you're relegated to support duties. Still, I guess its good that I got posted to a pretty good camp.

Calculus and Physics both got challenging in the same week (challenging as in I couldn't do them).  Physics has since gotten easier (damn friction problems), but Calc is still going over my head (damn analytical differentiation).

I'm with ya now. So the unit your station is based at is a CRE one. And your CCF one is coldstream guards. Ok, yep i've met a lance sergeant or two in my time. My dear old mum was a staffy in the QAMC she's a trained CMT. Since retired to raise my little bro who's now seventeen she did a fair bit.
 
I'm happy being a senior Sapper. Give it four months and i'll have my cadre done though and i'll get a tape at last. Then i'll go JDI cos DRILL IS BRILL.
