I bought a Linksys Wireless Adapter and installed it in my bedroom PC with no problems. And then I went to tweak services.msc and msconfig and promptly managed to murder the functionality of the Linksys Wireless Manager, so I re-installed the whole thing, then uninstalled the Linksys Wireless Manager after learning that re-installation didn't make it work. I was prompted to restart my computer, so I did so. When my PC finished restarting, I realised that Windows defaulted to its own wireless network manager and connected to the Internet through my adapter using it.

I am now checking for updates using Automatic Updates. It's taking forever...
