Since about half past twelve today, I've been downloading and unpacking my free copy of Windows 7 Professional (64-bit), which I get through MSDN Academic Alliance with my University. I'll burn the ISO onto a DVD another day, though.

i need to figure out a class i can register for next semester that will get me an MSDN access code.  i got 2 of them in one semester a year and a half ago, but all i got out of that was vista business. xP

****ing ****. I'm at the wrong department, apparently. The other people get MSDN codes basically by sending email somewhere stating "o hai, I iz studeen' hear". But not us. Oh, nonono. Blasted IT people. Why am I studying information engineering? 

Not that I'd do anything with 7 at this particular moment. The netbook would probably cough up blood, and the FFFFFUUUUUUUU**** is melting down regardless of what I try to run on it.

i can't figure out the rationale for how they hand them out here.  the classes i got them for were thermodynamics and engineering economics.  i'd been told they were for computer science classes.  That makes more sense, but i've been in 3 of those and none gave me access.
