My mom was asking me about what I've been doing in health, which I'm taking over the summer to free up a period during the year. I started going through the week. I got to Thursday and say 'we had a bunch of lectures and then watched a video demonstrating how they test you for HIV in a clinic. But they only explained the girl bit.'

Mom said, ok, and how did that work? (she had been testing me to make sure I wasn't just sleeping through class). To which I replied, 'They stick a bunch of tools in her and jiggle it all around a bit'.

I didn't have to talk to her about Friday  :P

I got a beta key for StarCraft 2!  :D

But there's only 10 days until the game is out, and then the beta keys will probably be disabled. To make matters worse, at the rate the download's going, I'll only have 9 days!

Edit: I got it to speed up like 4-fold by disabling peer-to-peer transfer... wtf.

The Nito Ryu set I ordered came in the post today, Nito Ryu is a two weapon (daito and shoto) style for Kendo.  We're going to be trying it out next week in Kendo class.  The set came with an instructional DVD that was pretty good.  After watching it I tend to think the style complements someone with strength and reach, since you often use the shoto to knock aside your opponent's blade to give your Daito a clean path to strike.  Should be interesting and I'm look forward to class.
