Are you sure about that, or is it merely the uncertainty of not having that crutch to lean on? If you aren't happy in your current situation, you are the only one who can do anything about it, and the truth is that as long as you allow yourself to be used, he will continue using you, that's just human nature.

Well, that is your choice to make, I could tell you that road usually leads to emotional disaster, because you are underselling your own worth, but I suppose everyone has to find happiness, or sadness, in their own way.

Just remember, if it all goes wrong, life is about more than Sex. Sex is fun, but it doesn't make a relationship. I learned that the hard way, and I suspect almost everyone in this forum who is in a stable relationship also had to learn the hard way how to make them work, maybe it's the only way to learn.

Good luck either way :)

I suppose all I can really say then is that Humans, more than any other creature on the planet, have developed instincts for deception and knowing when something is 'wrong'. We are very good at deception and misdirection, and in defence of that, we are very good at detecting them.

If you are happy in your relationship, then good for you, but do not always write off those 'wrong' feelings as merely being hormonal, that sounds like something a man would say, no offence to the men here (myself included). Love can be blind, deaf and mute, simply ignoring a concern because you don't want it to be true can be the most damaging route to take, your instincts may be sending you messages you don't want to hear but that doesn't mean those warnings are unjustified.

Frankly, you can define a relationship not by how your partner is in the 'good' times, but how they are in bad ones ;)

Anyway, enough lecturing, just trust yourself, and I hope things work out for you, whatever the outcome :)

Maybe I'm stubborn, maybe I just 'sense' something's right, but I don't want to give up just yet. But thanks for the advice :)
