My new job is very ****ty, my managers can't be trusted, and an ex-employee tells me that my company is undergoing investigation with the RCMP for fraud.

Well, looks like it's time to view the ol' job bank and update the resume again.

I really, really (really) want to get drunk tonight. I have the booze to do so, too, and I need to drink it before I leave. But I'd be drinking more or less alone, and I can't really afford a hangover tomorrow. My clever brain says more than two or three tonight is a bad idea. But the urge is strong, nonetheless. :\

That said, I should (finally) be back home from work by Friday night. There will be free flowing scotch and rum that night, I can asssure you!

after some discussion on instant response chat a troubling misconception has come to our awareness

we would like to clarify that although fattuta does often manifest within the multiplicity, all battutas are not fat

in fact we are lean and trim

however we do admit that home cooking has somewhat degraded the legendary abs of battuta. they are now friendlier and softer, like your favorite pillow

also when we played sins of our solar empire all our capital ships were named in the following scheme:

id of battuta
abs of battuta
mighty thews of battuta

so on

also there was another game where the names of our capital ships spelled

the mighty phallus of battuta, that which spans stars and violates empires

i always felt bad for the captain and crew of the ships named 'the' and 'and'

Hit my main PC out of the blue and pretty much shut the whole thing down. Some registry hacks and deletion of associated .exe's later, and I'm running a massive system uber-scan to try to find anything I missed. That'll take hours, though, and I'm not willing to risk restarting the computer until it's finished.

Luckily, my laptop is fine. Also luckily, no current homework projects necessitate the main PC, so I can use this until it's ready.

Bi-annual occasion: flu-symptoms that actually aren' t the flu. I even looked them up and my symptoms do indeed suggest I have influenza, but as always, when I go to the hospital in this shape, they find absolutely nothing.

So I'm skipping out on going to the doctor this time. They do not know what they are doing. I do not want a spinal tap again.
