Kendo tonight, we had a pretty large class so the instructor split the students with bogu (kendo armor) out to run through our practice ourselves while he worked on the rookies. Made for an intense, high tempo session with a good amount of sparring.

I feel increasing frustrated that I cannot understand the humour behind what a significant number of other people find funny. Perhaps intelligent humour really isn't my cup of tea.

Primary family computer was thoroughly compromised along with router, some dumbass turned the poor thing into a porn server (le sigh) and the hard drive died due to overexertion. It was so awesome 40 gb of bandwidth vanished in a few days and my fine-tuned Linux Mint ruined in a sea of porn (sorry kids, not the good stuff, crappy burnt out porn) and lots of gobbledy gook.

So, hammer time, shoot it full of holes, grind into a fine powder and feed it to the local seagulls or perform an excorcism with gun powder and fire?

I intend to turns its [the busted hdd] demise into some of fun recompense.

Wow.. damn, The_E. That's horrible to hear. You have my condolences too. Can't imagine how it would be like.. don't wanna experience it myself too. But at least she had you around till then, so that's better than nothing.

As for myself, just chugging along writing, some design, music listening and slight modification, generally setting deeper plans for my own work.

Thank you all. Let me just assure you that I am OK; I got the news last week so I had some time (and good RL friends and aquaintances) to get through the worst parts of it.

Since Steam finally listed a release date for Portal 2, I decided to buy my brother a gift copy, since I don't think he has enough spare cash to buy it himself at the moment. Maaaaan, I can't wait.
