I'm...going to go ahead and assume that that's someone's name, so I don't really see the fuss.

I associate it with a former professional baseball player myself.

But if you want to go a different direction, how about Pratt & Whitney?

(Besides everything else, "prat" is British slang, so it's not going to be a common association in the US.)

Little scary here in New Mexico at the moment. There's smoke everywhere, and the haze has turned the sky a sickly yellow. Go outside and you're breathing smoke.

Nothing compared to what's happening in Arizona, though...

Not that bad (at least not in central New Mexico). Basically looks like a really bad case of smog here.

But the fire is expected to cross the Arizona-New Mexico border sometime soon... several western New Mexican towns are prepping for evacuation.

Rapier and cloak tonight. Yep, cloak. Apparently it was common enough to be considered a legit style, its used mostly to entangle your opponent and subterfuge. I personally prefer the dagger in the offhand but the cloak certainly opens up some interesting options. Last night after Kendo our group rolled on over to the cinema and saw Hangover Part II, which I enjoyed quite a bit.
