New episode of MLP was awesome. My old high school band got a I rating at a marching festival I was volunteering at today, and I got to see them all. K-State beats Texas Tech in Lubbock, climbs higher in polls.

It's a good day.

I watched Stargate Atlantis and finished the five series, but the one thing I don't like is how the military has all of this great space technologly and they are keeping it for themselves! When will they let the public know they can travel to Mars in five seconds? Or let the public know that Atlantis has dive bombed in LA?

Also, Earth has been fired upon like an archer praciting his aim on an apple! I suppose the government blackmailed us 'civvies' to be quiet.

PS. And yes, I am trying get a story out of all this. And homorously, it isn't working very well.

Every single marching band or DCI show I've been to uses 0.00 - 100.00; I've only seen I - V in concert/chamber settings.

quite possibly a regional thing. marching band competitions aren't exactly a big thing around here.

in other news, i spent almost the entirety of today on newegg and various hardware review sites putting together my new build. getting close, but still lots more to think about. disappointed that bulldozer kinda fell on its face. gonna bite the bullet and do an intel build for the first time ever.
on a related note, does anyone know if free blu-ray playback software is available? none of the drives seem to have it included. i'm on the fence about a BR drive already, but a new build seems like the logical time to go for it. definitely not if i have to buy expensive software for it though. DVD drives are dirt cheap, going for what a floppy did the last time i built.

Brand new PS3 worked for seven hours, then decided that it wouldn't display on my Acer monitor anymore. It worked for ALL OTHER DEVICES (Secondary monitor, and TV), but not the important monitor. You know, the one I own... in my room... where I generally play PS3

Apparently, it had something to do with HDCP. So, going back to the store, getting a new one, and hoping that fast tracks to an easy solution (since all the other easy solutions don't work). If not, I will punch a baby.

My new mouse came today. I plugged it in and the scroll wheel doesn't work. I did some basic troubleshooting, and after achieving no results, I went to Microsoft's hardware support website to see about getting the ball rolling on a warranty repair/replacement.

Then I decided in my infinite wisdom, let's try one more thing. I unplug the monitors power cord, and plug it back in

It worked

This made my entire Sunday insignificant
