Clarification of Intent: The middle class is being squeezed from both sides. Income disparity is growing at an alarming rate. The average person has increasingly less political influence. And those in the middle class are coming to a turning point where they are either successful and get boosted up or are not, in which case they fall down the ladder.

And I'm stuck smack dab in the middle. Most all promises about my future have been broken. I'm staring the unknown right in the face.

Yeah, and I'm a smart son-of-a-***** working a service job for the forseeable future and I can't afford ramen. I don't blame it on black people, hispanics, or Indians, emos, 'wiggers,' punks, or merpeople. I don't even see any of those categories as cohesive groups. To do so demonstrates an incredible lack of ignorance and misplaced malice.

You seem to be missing the point repeatedly. No one disagrees with you about middle class problems. It's just... why the heck did you put white as not the 'majority' on your list.

Well the point is I have been ****ed over. Part of it is my fault. I am interested in computers (an increasingly offshored field) and pretty much anything space related (a dying field) unlike my peers, most of whom plan to go into the medical field. But it's not all my fault. At least thirty years ago those sectors were growing strong. I don't believe that those sectors are shrinking as part of a "natural progression."

I refuse to believe that the United States has always been controlled by the rich. I refuse to believe the United States has never been a country that looks out for the common man.

The reason you feel computers is an increasingly 'offshored' field as you it is because competition is increasing. No easygoing anymore.
And the space age ain't dying, it's just in its infancy even now.

What did you major in?

I was going for journalism, then the money dried up. Then I went for nursing, but I couldn't get a job to sustain it. So I've given up.

And your post edit was downright unethical by the way. If you're going to make the kind of claims you made, you should stand by them.

I'd say don't go to Canada. The more people who get the same idea, the less space I have allocated to me. I like my kilometer square thank you very much. I don't want to share it with anyone

I am nervous about having the Russians send our people up to the ISS, since they lost a ship carrying cargo. Also, I think we will restart our own space program when we find sufficient technology that will be strong and cheap.

When do restart, I hope we look into making moon base that will help us prepare for the trip to Mars, and then eventually into the Solar System.

It's also expensive as **** to live here. Essentials like bread and energy prices are going up in price by a noticeable amount almost every week, but wages stay the same and even have been reduced in some cases.
