Spent much of the day at Palomar. Might appear in pictures taken.

Discovered the entire original setup for running the telescope that was installed in 1938 is actually the guts of a Mark 37 Gun Director or Mark 1A Gunfire Control Computer. Further research necessary to determine which.

Which Creative card are you trying to work with? Anything Audigy 2/Audigy/late model Live! or older is supported better by the Audigy Support Pack; and at least the X-Fi XtremeAudio (and rebrands thereof) more or less needs to be installed in safe mode for the software to recognize that the card is there. Or at least in my experience; I've got a rebadged XtremeAudio and a stack of Audigy 2 Values, and one or two Lives.

x-fi xtreme music.  currently on like the 20th reinstall.  the driver will work fine, but i can't get any of the 500 consoles required to actually control the sound to work, so anything other than windows default sounds sounds like ass.  i'm currently trying to install off the disk that came with it, since i've now been through every single combination of drivers and software, including betas, offered on creative's website for my card.  i don't hold out much hope for this, since the disk is for XP and dated from 2005.  although IIRC there WAS some stuff i had to install off the disk to get it to work last time.

i REALLY don't want to contact support.  last time i did that, there were 2 day delays for emails that were nothing more than automated responses saying the same useless **** as the readmes on the website.  i don't think a real person EVER saw my requests.

Give it a shot with the website's drivers in Safe Mode. That's exactly what happens if I install my XtremeAudio rebadge in normal Windows. The sound works, but all the apps tell me it's not there.

Hanako is one of the most interesting characters IMHO, especially when you see the differences in the psychological direction she takes between her own route and Lily's. She ends up arguably stronger when you end up with her best friend than when you end up with her.

I've not done Lilly's route yet, Hanako was first path I chose so I can't really comment.

creative has THE most assinine support i've ever had to deal with.  and i've used verizon's.  everything about their site design attempts to prevent you from contacting support.  they want my date of purchase (from at LEAST 4 years ago) just so i can ask them how the **** to install their **** drivers.  i know i've registered my product before, but there is no way to look up that info.  :hopping:

I have never had a huge problem with creative on that score.  I lost my audigy 1 driver disks ages ago and have no problem finding them online

the base drivers i have.  i can hear things.  but it sounds like absolute ****, because the consoles required to adjust settings do not work anymore for god knows what reason.  they never released true windows 7 compatible stuff.  i can't remember how i got it to work eventually before, but i do remember that it was an ugly hack of a solution, possibly involving compatibility mode on drivers (in my mind this should NEVER be necessary) from 2005.
