I'm technically 'only' enlisting for a six year reserve term.  That said, however, it's entirely possible for me to spend a year and a half or two years active duty just through training, and then even more if I get deployed.  Ten weeks in basic, ten weeks in advanced, three weeks in jump school, and then anywhere from six to eight months at the defense language institute learning a language of (nominally) my choice.  An additional eight weeks at Ranger school is also not out of the question.  Active duty pay for the duration, and jump status pay bonus after jump school.

In short: Sweeeeeet.

At the moment, three sessions a week at the local YMCA under the watchful eyes of my recruiters.  I've still got five months before I ship out, though, and I intend to get in much better shape before that happens.

Defragged less than a month ago, it's just that windows kept on saying that there was no fragmentation. I ran a defrag program that Dekker gave me, and almost had a heart attack!
