Had a nice evening with friends from the restaurant. Not to the same extent as last time, but one neighbor decided to be an absolute douche about the situation (furthermore, going on my property without my permission). When I tried to talk to him as an adult, he got all pissed off even though I didn't do a damned thing to him. His words?

Alright, if I ever see you again, I'll ask that you apologize and tell you that being an adult in these situations will get you a helluva lot farther than being a pissed off douche. Yes, it's 1:30am. We're talking outside. What of it?

im wondering if i didnt **** up my liver with the other night's tequila binge. it could also be the onset of pneumonia from standing on the docks at 3 am screaming the gospel according to nuke at the sea lions in the cold. things about the glory of satan and the destruction of the earth in nuclear hellfire were surely mentioned. it may have also been bad bacon. either way i feel like crap. an uncharacteristic nausea and my pee is more yellow than usual dispie higher fluids intake and a tight feeling where i think my liver should be. it could also be renal failure. idk. i will not be seeking medical attention, seems at the moment death accomplishes many of my life goals (and hopefully i inspired some angry fishermen to take up my cause to burn the earth), namely revenge and a catalyst for the inevitable self destruction of my family. that would be awesome. besides i dont have health insurance. so yea if i disappear in the next week or so without saying ive gone hunting, just assume i died. feel free to blame obama, i dont think that pusseh would launch a nuke if he had to.

I thought I would get a 90+ on an exam and instead my grade is 76. Not to sound overconfident but I should be do way ****ing better that.

You mean the grading system? IDK, I've always lived with that kind of grading system. And that's all it is, a system of seemingly arbitrary set of numbers (or letters) to represent often quantifiable skills, most of which are absolutely useless in life TBH. That's not what's usually frustrating about tests for me. It's usually the way tests are presented or those over-complex and hard tests that are rage inducing.

That 76 is just making me feel that I either made an insanely stupid mistake, such as writing down answers in the wrong places, or my test was incorrectly graded. I'll definitely have to find out which it is.

I ship out for basic at Fort Benning, Georgia on January 15, but the actual BCT doesn't start until the 21st.  Nine weeks and four days later, I ship up to Fort Bragg, South Carolina for my advanced training, which lasts exactly 10 weeks.  After that, I'll be volunteering for jump school and air assault school (at the minimum) and a trip to the Defense Language Institute for six months to a year to learn a new language.

As for formality, discipline, etc., while I'm in training there is no distinction between Active Duty and Reserve components.  Everyone gets the same training.

I dunno how it works over in the UK, but over here I'm effectively incommunicado for the full course.  Snail mail is pretty much all I'll get.  No computer, no internet, unless it's featured as part of whatever training is that day.

This, is THE most accurate thing to what I went through on TV, i say most accurate, because they cut so much out. All the NCOs on it, are actually Warrant Officers. It was SOooooooooooooo much harder when i did mine :/
