Started looking at cars today to replace my one that's going to hell rather quickly. Found a 1997 Mazda MX-6 for $3000AUD (cheapest I've ever seen one of those for sale). My first car was an MX-6, and I loved it until some jackass took out my back bumper, lights, and damaged the chassis several years ago. Since then I've had a 1998 Toyota Corolla, and it's had intermittent problems all along, so I'm getting rid of it. Part of me wants an MX-6 again; I test drove it today and it sails smooth as a mother****er, but mum says I should save up more and get a newer car. Will think about it.

Yeah, the times I've looked at a first car to buy, my mum has said to look at newer cars as well - specifically something that hasn't done too many kilometres (not much over 100,000). Personally I like the look of the Mazda 121 (the hatchback model, not the sedan). I've not got to the point of test-driving, mainly because I'm still on my learners.

Oh, it got noticed. Problem was that it was nothing we could do anything about, as the failure was somewhere in the hosting company's net connection.

I just spent a large portion of today helping with a small community event that was organised by a local police team and which had some stands from the different emergency services.
My day ended with the Sergeant and a couple of influential members of the community telling me to make a web forum for young people, that will include things like legal rights when challenged by the police, how to eat well on a budget and a whole host of other things.
Apparently they can see me as THE youngest chairman for the Safer Neighbourhood Committee for our ward, and one of the youngest councilmen.

I don't have a FLYING **** of an idea as to how this has come to pass, but I'll roll with it.
