Bruichladdich is on my "to try" list, for the future. At the moment I'm frothing over Glenrothes 95/91 and Glenfarclas 15 and 30 yr olds. I thought of myself as a lowlands man, but Speyside is hard to ignore.

I have now been at HLP for two years. The two-year mark for my working on wxLauncher isn't until this Saturday, though.

Reminds me, I'm coming up on my 8 year anniversary with HLP next Saturday. Pretty incredible how much things have changed since then.

The fact I am able to construct on-point replies quoting posts directed at the same person in previous portions of a thread, not as one off thing but I can do it several times. That is immensely depressing.

I'm going to be back in a couple hours HLP. I need to do something, like dig holes in my yard to fix the watering system, that doesn't feel Sisyphian. o7 to The E, Batts, and Flipside. Carry on; it's a good discussion.

So, tomorrow evening I'm going to be cutting my hair that I've been growing for the last 3-4 years and donating it to a charity that makes human hair wigs for children who have lost theirs due to chemotherapy. I'll put up some before and after pics for posterity.

Interesting. I don't think I've heard of such a thing. I wonder how long your hair is after 3/4 years.

It's quite long. It reaches the bottom of my shoulder blades when it's wet, but the rest of the time I have it pulled back into a sort of ponytail. You'll all see tomorrow, I'm planning on getting a bunch of pics with my hair tied back, untied and gone.
And I'm not gonna lie, I think there will be tears when it goes. I've spent years caring for my hair, so long in fact, that i've been growing it since before my neice was a twinkle in my brother's eye.

Why do you want to take it off then? You could make a cash donation and keep your hair.

But look on the bright side, if you've been caring for your hair, it's going to make a high quality wig for someone. If it means that much to you, then you've got my respect.
