Just seen Cloud Atlas, without subtitles. I kinda overestimated my abilities of understanding everything so I missed a few things. Especially what happens in the last two eras that binds them and why is it so important to Halle Berry's character to reach that mountain, etc. It seems like there's some beacon involved that somehow gets them out of there into the last scene... but I didn't get it.

replicant or whatever they are called chick becomes a deity for the for the future people. the reason for reaching the top of the mountain because it was a communications relay they used to call in an evac from an external colony (which are mentioned in the korean chick's time). thats why at the end when the little girl asks tom hanks where earth is he points up to a star in the sky.

all in all i thought it was a rather impressive movie. better than i expected. why it wasnt nominated for let alone won an oscar is beyond me.

I went through my junk e-mail and saw a scam e-mail from a certain Capt Anthony John. The message claims that he's moving around the Middle East, but when I look at the e-mail's source, it appears the message was actually sent from Tokyo.

My folks live with me, and I have to tolerate them. The fun part is that I can't even do cooking anymore after my mother conquered the kitchen.

I tend to cook bare bones and plainly, she decided that it would end and my bland tyranny was over.

I just discovered that not only is Smash Mouth still around, but they are playing here tomorrow at the oceanfront (with the Bare Naked Ladies as the headliner). If I wasn't already going to a different concert I'd be all over that
