Wordlist... Good/bad idea...
I'm doubtful about the fact one's using odd words to protect his files. There's a chance for sure, but it has to be considered as minimal. As an example, myself and a lot of my friends are always using the same password in different places, and it is NOT related to the place/website/service/contents. Could be anything, from the first girlfriend's name to a strange car number or a geeky personal reference. Multiply this possibilities by the number of known languages and you'll get an almost infinite number of possibilities you WON'T guess.
That lead us to the starting point :
we'll get the maximum number of chances, and use our time in a more effective manner if we try to contact the author, assuming he remembers a seven years old password.
