Before my last computer tanked, I made a harem campaign, where Alpha 1 was the only male in the entire company. He developed a romance with Delta 1, and all of the enemies had romantic names. It was purely for my own enjoyment, because there were too many bugs in it. But it is lost, now. Forever.

You know, that would be interesting with the right writing.

I have a tendancy to make Alpha 1 female, not that it usually matters for story purposes. But for the "canon" of my campaigns, the leader of the Blue Lions is female, and at least one of the other ones I'm working on has a female as the main character.

If the pilot is generic then gender really doesn't matter but in character based plots like Ghost Revenants perhaps then it counts . . . a lot.

Awww. I would love to have seen that.

But i have to ask was Tenchi Muyo and/or Ranma 1/2 you're inspiration?

Or was your inspiration Sailor Moon -> Tuxedo Kamen was the only male good guy of any real significance (even if the anime version was near useless - Manga/Sera Myu Version was far superior)...

I have also the tendency to think of Alpha 1 as a female character. Mabye that is just the BSG Influence (Starbuck!) but Female Top Aces just feel more intresting then male ones.

Now THAT'S a surprise. I've never thought of Alpha 1 as a female pilot.

, however, is that they made Alpha 1 a silent protagonist, just the Pokemon games.

And Half-Life. And I MIGHT be able to recover my old computer. Low chance, but it all depends if I can find another box to wire my Hard Drive to. It's fried though, so it may not work.

What did alpha 1 do bad on spelling tests? A1 profile is now apparently one of low iq. Like 60 or something. That's why he's command's yes man.

Who the **** would really do what A1 does? A1, see if you can fly into the lucifer's fighterbay. Yeah, that's almost a no ticket home, as well as many times it was a no ticket home.
Command's back at home with all of the comm officers snickering and being like "look i can't believe he actually did it, he didn't question it or anything...ROFLMFAOLOLOLOLOLDUMBASS".

Only certain special A1's have this much misinterpretation when speaking with other folk. Makes ordering wing mates around a lot more tedious. Imagine if you had a whole squadron of these.
