I already have my driver's license. Turning 18 means I can move out, buy a car, etc. Not that I can afford all that. But living in a cheap car is better than living here.
You say that now, but there is a reason why a large percentage of homeless people in developed countries have a diagnosable mental illness.
I've been staying out of this thread and watching it, but here's something you should consider (not that you'll likely pay any attention to it, but it's worth a shot): Bipolar disorder is a terrible form of mental illness because people who have it tend to think there is absolutely nothing wrong with them and actively avoid taking medication for their disorder. The most common complaint is that they lose the "high" - they feel slow, sluggish, and foggy. And the reason people around you may say you're intolerable when not on your medication is that they see the manic, compulsive, and driven behaviour (which is, as a rule, without thought of long-term consequences) and they care enough about you to fear for your future if you continue along the same course.
I know it's probably difficult, but consider that maybe the people around you DO have your best interests at heart and consider listening to them.
I have several friends who have been diagnosed as bipolar and ALL of them say that their lives and their emotional stability improved dramatically once they started taking their prescribed medications regularly.
As for the rest of you giving advice willy-nilly: You're doing more harm than good, so unless you know her personally or are advocating that she rely on interpersonal relationships or medical advice, my advice to you is simply to be quiet because most of you are just giving "advice" that will make matters worse. This is a scenario where if you don't actually know what you're talking about you should, to put it in extremely blunt terms, STFU.
And this is my last attempt to instill some common sense in iamzack's threads.
