I've sinned. Everyone's sinned. But the whole idea behind Jesus' death on the cross is that through it, we have forgiveness of sins, if we believe in Him.

And as far as proving the "Heaven forever" part, you won't get scientific proof - that's why it's called faith. But look at it this way: You've got nothing to lose, and everything to win. :)

I know, I had a thorough catholic education. But it's not just believing - it's believing and doing your best to follow his teachings. :)

I know that too - that was only a joke, and I thought everyone would get it. All religions require a leap of faith, and that's probably the hardest thing for everyone to do. No offense, but I don't really consider the run-of-the-mill catholic as a true christian... IMHO they've deviated from what the Bible says so much.... bah, it makes me sick.

Roman Catholics were among the first ever christians, i dont think we've deviated from the bible personally.

No offense taken, my family is catholic - that doesn't mean I am. And indeed, they deviated a lot from the original christians and, as far as I'm concerned, they're not worshipping God, but a bunch of idols created for their own convenience.
