Primary Weapon Tech Models [RELEASE]
RELEASE!

I've finished up all the primary weapon models. They have really basic UVs and textures, but they look pretty good to me in-game. I call this a beta release because when the code gets added for more options in the weapons table I'll fix up the tables so the models don't clip in the weapon select screen.

on a related note, is there anything that can be done to increase the size of the 3d models for weapons select?  as it is now, all but about 2 are so small you can't tell what it is without clicking on it.  i turned off 3d models for this reason, but as it turns out, that breaks many mods and you end up with just funky textures or sometimes nothing at all for the weapons in the select screen. 
I like to stare at the sun.

Am I the only one interested in this project?

Anywho... Since I'm already making models for the primary weapons as I create FSPort ANIs in hi-res, I figured it would be an easy switch to use those models to create tech POFs for those who like 3D weapon select. Personally I really like the 3D weapon select... I'm also a little OCD and don't like have 3D select for everything BUT primaries. (heck, I even went through and created a version of the FS1 interface using the hi-res GTA logo we made... THAT's how OCD I can be....) But enough about me.  :doubt:

In fact Galemp deserves a tip of the hat because he constantly challenges me to make things better than what I often settle with.

Awesome work guys! Banshee and all wariants of the Prometheus are my favorites. I like using of Hades and Deimos textures on it :yes: . I wanna see Maxim and Kayser ;7 .

BTW. What is UD-1 Volz? I don't reconize it.

The UD-1 Volz is non-canon. Also, where is the original FreeSpace 1 prom? I assume it isn't the Prom A because it doesn't look like that. :<

These are looking fantastic! I do agree things will feel a lot better if everything has techroom models when it's active; will make the interface feel more polished and finished (i get OCDish about little things like that too :)). Hats off to you and Galemp for your respective models; its people putting in efforts like that which make modding communities really special.

Liked the Flail animation too btw. :yes:

It's amazing how much the Prometheus looks like the Plasma Cannon from the Descent series, now that I look at it.  I doubt it's coincidence, since both of them shoot out big green blobs.
