Well the server's going to switch over, so everyone's probably just waiting for that. I've been planning on paper what I'm going to build when it gets changed over.
Though I want to take some screens of my builds so if the server's going to get changed before like August 2/3rd I may go on and do that before it happens.

I honestly don't know that I'm going to build much of anything once the change happens.  I feel like I've put a lot of mental investment into my own little piece of turf, and once that goes...well, I don't really feel like trying to start the whole process all over again.

I've hopped on occasionally, but nobody else has been on either. Personally I'll be on more once A) 1.3 comes out, and B) I finish up Dark Angel (got 5 episodes left).

If that attitude were prevalent in all participating players that might be a possibility, but some such as myself have said we don't mind the restart and will play regardless so that's not really the case. Further if I'm not mistaken you were hoping for mod integration since before the reset announcement so you likely would have brought up this issue irrespective of anyone's sentiments.

Ah very nice work, havn't come across that generator before...presuming it's not a custom built map. Are those caves navigable though?

 I probably should've mentioned this before, but before we start messing around with new terrain generator mods I think we should at least give 1.3's terrain gen a try...

I guess it depends on the amount of work invested.
If you only built a single house, ti's no big loss.

wut?  while i have only skimmed most of the needy emo crap brought up about the map restart, this first I have heard of players not playing after the map restart just because it being restart.

btw Qaz, any ideas on what seed you will be using?

It's changed very little since 1.8, the biomes are exactly the same with the only new additions being cocoa trees in jungles, 2 extra dungeon types, and slightly different NPC village design. So in other words...it still sucks.

EDIT: Oh and there's a "large biome" option on world creation now. Same crappy biomes, but wayyy bigger (ocean = pain)
